Autumn bloom is a story about love, longing and theatre. By combining the eternal stories from Slovenian cultural space and characters with which generations of the Slovenes have identified in the past and still do today, the performance builds a bridge between the past and the present, and explains where we were while asking where we are now. The story unfolds through scenes and phrases borrowed from Slovenian literature, from Prežihov Voranc through Ivan Cankar to Ivan Tavčar, all of whom have left an imprint on the minds of Slovenes.
The characters taken from Slovenian literature are suspiciously similar to the contemporaries we meet in the streets. And on top of that, there is Medved. There is always another Medved. Has anything changed in the meantime? Do not Tavčar's words still have currency today? And, is not the story inscribed in our memory a bit different? Did Meta really say that?
