Maribor Theatre Festival, in collaboration with Novi ZATO. and Slovenian theatres
Maribor Theatre Festival 2015
Hedda Gabler, Maribor Theatre Festival Grand Prix 2015
Ljerka Belak, Borštnik Ring Award 2015
This is already the fourth year in a row that the Maribor Theatre Festival, in collaboration with Novi ZATO. and Slovenian theatres as well as cultural and educational institutions, is organising the e-xhibition Maribor Theatre Festival. We persist in our concern for the digitalisation, accessibility and popularisation of Slovenian cultural heritage.
We have kept the format of previous editions and conceived the exhibition in three segments: the first will feature the photographs from the closing ceremony of the festive 50th edition of the festival: the second segment is dedicated to last year’s best production, Henrik Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler directed by Mateja Koležnik and performed by the Drama of the Slovenian National Theatre Maribor. This segment includes Damjan Švarc’s photographs, stage design sketches by Marko Japelj, the poster and
the programme, several articles and a selection of reviews of the production. The third segment is dedicated to Ljerka Belak, the recipient of the 2015 Borštnik Ring through a photographic overview of her theatrical opus.
The e-xhibition Maribor Theatre Festival 2015 will be available in Slovenian and English as of XXXXXXXX on the Website borstnikovo.si, the web portal sigledal.org and on the websites of collaborating institutions.
