In this timeless musical-puppet composition, it is the spectator who finds him/herself in the role of Joseph K. The play mercilessly shifts him/her from one hopeless situation to another, acquainting him/her with the entrails of the social machine and even with the intimate world of some of Joseph K’s dearest people. Placed in the centre of action, the spectator must responsibly submit to the mercy of the Trial. Various theatrical techniques unfold among the audience and around it: the black humour of hand-held puppets, the poetics of the theatre of objects, and the cabaret improvisation. The machine of the system is operated by two performers/musicians/puppeteers. The tender puppet scenes interchange with powerful rhythmical effects, which occasionally turn into a concert.
